CHICAGO / DALLAS - September 15, 2004 - Continuing to build upon its national expansion, ¡SORPRESA!, the first television network dedicated to entertaining America's Spanish-speaking children, is now available on the Comcast Communications Chicago system. Adding ¡SORPRESA! to the Comcast Chicago program lineup makes the network available to approximately 1.7 million Chicago Comcast customers. The channel is available on the system's "Selecto Complete" Hispanic package.

"Chicago is one of the fastest growing Hispanic markets in the country and we are excited to bring this community popular Spanish language programming never before broadcast in the United States," said Christopher Firestone, vice president of affiliate relations, Firestone Communications, Inc. "Families and children now can enjoy the programming because it is entertaining, educational and culturally relevant."

Serving the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population for the past 10 years, ¡SORPRESA! targets Hispanic children and tweens in the U.S. with an array of award winning Spanish language programming acquired from Spain, Latin America and the U.S. ¡SORPRESA! speaks to its young audience in Spanish with a programming lineup that runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Combined with the network's current distribution on Comcast's Portland, Northern California, Albuquerque, and Ft. Myers systems, and additional carriage on Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, NCTC, and Cablevision systems across the country, ¡SORPRESA! is one of the fastest growing new digital networks in the country. ¡SORPRESA! is now available in nine of the top 10 markets, and 19 of the top 25 Hispanic U.S. markets. In all, ¡SORPRESA! is in more than 60 total markets on 245 cable systems throughout the country.

¡SORPRESA! targets pre-school and younger Hispanic children during the morning and afternoon with animation, pre-school series, variety, documentaries and special events. The channel's late evening schedule targets tweens with comedy, game shows, music programs, and movies.

Carriage agreements with the nation's top MSOs bring ¡SORPRESA! into America's highest Hispanic population regions including New York, California, Texas, Florida, Arizona and New Jersey, making the channel a premier TV vehicle for advertisers seeking to target Hispanic children and their families. Relevant to the younger Hispanic generation, ¡SORPRESA! and its programming reflect the new Hispanic-American lifestyle, delicately blending culturally appealing educational and entertainment programming into an appealing entertainment destination. The channel offers award-winning programs acquired from top children's producers and the leading Hispanic, Latin and Spanish media companies from a multitude of Spanish-speaking countries including Beyond International, Kolitas.com in Mexico, Puerto Rico Public Broadcasting Corporation, and TeLeFe International in Argentina.
